I believe that birth is a natural, amazing, awe inspiring journey that I have been blessed to experience both as a mother and a doula. I believe every woman should have a doula should she so choose. As a doula, I respect that every journey is one of a kind.

My role as a doula is to take that journey with a mother as a tender supporter, sometime to lead her, such as suggesting comfort techniques or providing education, sometimes to follow her, during a necessary medical intervention, and always beside her to hold her hand, massage her body, soothe and support her mind and spirit through her unique and miraculous passage into motherhood.

No matter how many times I am blessed to take this journey, I hold each one in reverence and I am humbled and honored to be invited to join.
